An ambassador is a person who acts as a representative or promotor of something or someone.

Instagram & YouTube instantly come to my mind when I hear that. There are a ton of people who get paid to promote products for companies because they have a large enough following that it helps the company get more business. As a user of Instagram & YouTube, I see these ads & promotions (too much sometimes haha).

I’ve realized a couple of things. If I like the person promoting it- them as a person, trust them & their opinions, etc., then I’m more apt to look into the product they’re promoting and want to purchase it if it seems like something I could benefit from.

Well, we are all ambassadors. Not of a skin care line, clothes, toy company, meal kit, etc., but for Christ! 2 Corinthians 5:20 says, “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”

Our job is to represent Christ. To make other people want to know more about Christ through our actions & words. And the better job we do representing Christ, the more people that will see us and want what we have which is JESUS!! And it’s not about us at all; it’s all about HIM! We should want to make being a follower of Jesus attractive because it means more people knowing Him.

So, I challenge you (and I’m speaking to myself too!!) to think before you speak and act. You don’t know who is watching you. And if someone knows you call yourself a Christian but you’re acting no differently than the world, then how are they supposed to be attracted to Christ through you?

Let’s represent Christ well!
