Have you ever heard of people making bucket lists for different seasons? I have. I thought I’d give it a go this Fall to make sure my family can get in everything we want to during the best time of the year (my opinion hehe).

I remember last year telling my husband that next year will be even more fun because of the ages our kids will be. This year, around Fall time, my kids will be 14-16 months old & 27-29 months old. I feel like these are the ages where they can truly start to understand the concepts of picking apples, carving pumpkins, etc.

I can’t wait!! Let’s get into the bucket list:

Decorate The House

Last year, I had a baby at the end of July & then we found out mid-October that we were going to be moving at the start of 2023, so we decided not to decorate for Fall. I’m not a huge seasonal decorater, but I do have a couple really cute Fall decorations I do enjoy adding to our space around this time of year that just add to the beauty of Fall. This year, I want to make sure we decorate.

Pick Apples

Going apple picking is a must in the Fall. I think my son will understand it and want to help this year which will be so much fun. Last year, he was not feeling the best on the day we went so we didn’t really enjoy it very much.

Eat Fall Foods

Either at a pumpkin patch, apple orchard, or home baked, having pumpkin & apple themed food is necessary. I have a recipe for my favorite pumpkin cookies that I make at least once or twice every season and they’re to die for!

Carve/Paint Pumpkins

My husband and I always carve pumpkins each year, but I think it’d be fun to have my kids paint their own pumpkins while we carve ours. I feel like my son especially would really enjoy this! Last year he drew with a sharpie on a pumpkin, but I think it’s time to upgrade to some paint.

Play In A Corn Pit

I don’t ever recall doing this as a kid myself but it’s become more popular to have these large corn pits for kids to play in at various Fall Festivals and stuff. I definitely want to find one and bring my kids this season. It looks like a lot of fun!

Go Trick Or Treating

This may be controversial. My husband and I are not into witches or ghosts, but I did grow up dressing up and going trick or treating every year and I have such fond memories of it. I want my kids to experience those joys too. Last year I dressed them up as Monsters Inc characters but we didn’t go out or anything. I need to start thinking about this year’s theme.

I feel like this is a pretty decent list. What’s on your bucket list for Fall this year?
