On my 26th birthday, my family & I did a handful of Fall activities, enjoying the beauty of the colors. But today, I’d like to share one specific activity we did that is kid-friendly and is definitely now on my annual Fall Bucket List. AND IT SHOULD BE ON YOURS TOO! And that is riding the gondola at Lutsen Mountain.

IF YOU ARE EVER IN MINNESOTA, YOU NEED TO GO HERE IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER!

I’m going to share some pictures in just a second, but first let me explain the experience. This is an entire ski/snowboard resort in the Winter. But this one slope, they have the gondola open in the Fall to pay for a ride up the mountain and back to see the colors. I liked how you got to get off at the one end before going back because it allows for you to get off, take a hike if you want, take pictures from the top of the mountain, etc. I’ve never seen such stunning colors because you’re so high up that you see quite the landscape. You do have to pay but I believe kids 6 & under are free. Maybe it was 3 and under… Either way, both mine were free, so we only had to pay for my husband and I. You can buy tickets ahead of time or do it when you arrive. It was a very smooth process and didn’t take too much time either. And it’s fully enclosed so it’s very safe for all ages.

Here are some photos from our time at Lutsen…

This was such a fun and easy way to experience the beauty of the best season (in my opinion)!
