My second child, my sweet baby girl, is turning one year old at the end of July!!! I cannot believe it! Recently, I did a blog post (you can read it HERE) where I shared ideas for gifts that I shared with my family for my son’s second birthday. So, I thought I would now share the gift ideas we’ve given family for our daughter’s first birthday! I use the gift list feature on giftster.com to share ideas. This is a great place to add items and people can mark it as purchased if they buy it so no one buys duplicate items.

Now, I stated this in the blog post I wrote about my son’s gift ideas, but I thought I’d say it again here. I by no means expect everything on this list. But, we’re in a season of life where our house isn’t huge and we’re trying to be intentional about the items brought in our home & the most effective way to go about this is to make a list of the things you would like your child to have. We ask for things that our child needs or things that we would love in our home for our children. I share a range of ideas so people can still feel like they get to pick something out, which makes it more special for them. I also make sure there are things varying in cost too. I always add on a couple bigger items and then a handful of items with less value. My husband and I have the mentality that we’d rather have less items in our home but have them be nicer quality and last us a long time rather than a ton of cheap things.

Let’s get onto the ideas… I’ll share the links for everything too. 🙂

Ball Pit

I love this company and the ball pit is SO NICE! Gathre makes things with a vegan leather. So, it can’t pop and if it gets dirty, it’s easy to wipe down. It can also fold up easily when not in use. I asked it in the color, parchment. I have one of their mats and we use it all the time!

Balls for Ball Pit

Every ball pit needs balls. I asked for four packs of these in the color, mocha tricolor. I originally only had 2 packs of 100 on there but then I saw in the reviews for the ball pit that people stated 400 was the perfect amount of balls so I changed it to 4 packs of 100. I love the prettier colors of balls here. I don’t love the super bright colors that most kids’ toys are made in.

Wooden Play Kitchen

I feel like every child, especially girls, needs a play kitchen. I love this one so much!! Play kitchens can get wayyyy more spendy than I originally thought, so it was hard to find one that I loved and also wasn’t $1,000!! (can you imagine someone spending that?!) I love how a toy like this has a million ways to play with it, so typically, kids will play with something like this for a longer period of time, which is always great.

Kitchen Supplies

This kit includes wooden pots, pans, salt & pepper shakers, silverware, etc. Every kitchen needs supplies and these are adorable!

Play Food

Every kitchen also needs play food! We have some wooden play food, but this pack has some more unique varieties of foods that we do not currently own.

Shopping Cart

I found this wooden shopping cart on Amazon and it perfectly matches the kitchen. We currently have a plastic shopping basket but this is nice because it’s larger and it’s on wheels. Lots of space to hold all the kitchen items and food.

Fork & Spoon

I have this same set in a different color for my son and they were the perfect pair of utensils for him. I asked for the color, pale daffodil, for my daughter’s set. This company is 10/10 by the way!

Cookie Play Set

This little cookie sheet with the oven mit and cookies is adorable. A super nice addition to a kid’s play kitchen.

Egg Set

Another cutie set for the kitchen! This is a carton of eggs where the eggs actually open and reveal the yoke- adorable!

Sherpa Kid Chair

I thought this small chair was super cute for my kids to sit in in the playroom. Definitely not necessary but thought I’d add it in case someone needed another idea. 🙂

Gift Cards

I always add gift card ideas in case someone wants to maybe send a gift and not pay for packaging. I added gift cards to the following shops: Zara, At Noon, and Axel & Rose. I love all these shops but usually don’t purchase anything unless I have a gift card or there’s a big sale.

Why does picturing my baby girl playing at the wooden kitchen make me so giddy as her mom? Time is going by so quickly! Stay tuned for a future blog post on all the details surrounding her flower themed party. 🙂
